Assessment and consent
A focused history and exam to identify what we're targeting and why. Needles are never used without informed consent and a clear plan.
Overview
Acupuncture and dry needling are two sides of the same coin: thin, sterile, single-use needles inserted with intent. Done well, they down-regulate pain, release stubborn muscle tone, and amplify the work you're already doing in physio, chiro, or training.
We use both Traditional Chinese acupuncture (channel-based, often paired with rehab) and contemporary medical acupuncture and dry needling (trigger points and motor points for tight muscles). Your practitioner will recommend the right approach for what's going on.
Available as a standalone visit or built into your physio, chiro, or training plan.
What to expect
A focused history and exam to identify what we're targeting and why. Needles are never used without informed consent and a clear plan.
20–35 minutes of needling with optional electrical stimulation or heat. Most patients describe a deep, achy "buzz" and significant tension release.
We reassess immediately after. If we've moved the needle (pun intended), we'll fold acupuncture into your ongoing plan.
