Overview

Strong people age slower.

After 40, the rules change. Recovery is different. Bone density and muscle mass start to decline if you don’t fight for them. Joints get cranky for reasons that aren’t obvious. Most fitness programs ignore all of this.

Active Adulthood is a 16-week program built specifically for adults who want to keep doing everything they love — running, lifting, skiing, gardening, playing with grandkids — for as long as possible. It combines clinical screening, programmed strength training, and accountability.

What you get

What's in the program.

01

Clinical movement screen

A one-time assessment with a physiotherapist or kinesiologist. We benchmark strength, mobility, balance, and bone-health risk factors.

02

16 weeks of programmed training

A written, periodized plan. Train 2–3 times per week. Sessions are 1:1 or semi-private (max 1:3). Strength, mobility, conditioning, balance.

03

Re-test at week 16

We measure what we measured at the start — strength, mobility, key markers. You see the numbers move. We adjust the plan from there.

Who it’s for

Who this program is for.

  • Adults 40+ who want to get stronger — not just stay the same.
  • People who have plateaued with general gym workouts.
  • Returners to fitness after injury, surgery, or a long break.
  • Anyone navigating menopause, perimenopause, or hormone changes.
  • Patients post-physio who want a real next step.
  • Family members of patients who watch us and decide they want in too.

Common questions

About this program.

How is this different from a regular personal training program?
It starts with a clinical screen and includes formal re-testing. Programming is built for adults who already have some life under their belt — past injuries, surgeries, things that flare up — and weighted toward strength and longevity, not pure aesthetics.
Do I need to have an injury or condition?
No. The program is for anyone over 40 who wants structured strength and longevity training.
Can I do this alongside physio or chiro?
Yes — many participants are existing clinical patients. The whole point is coordinated care.
Is it covered by insurance?
Sessions delivered by a registered kinesiologist are typically covered by extended-health plans.
What if I miss a week?
Life happens. The program is structured but flexible — we make up sessions and adjust the plan as needed.
