Overview

Someone in your corner — who knows the system.

Healthcare is fragmented. When you’re juggling specialists, paperwork, treatments, and uncertainty, things fall through the cracks — and you end up doing the coordination work yourself, badly, while you’re also sick or in pain.

Our Patient Advocate Services pair you with a dedicated coordinator from our clinical team. They communicate with your specialists, manage insurer relationships, track your appointments and progress, and translate medical-speak into a plan you can actually follow.

What you get

What an advocate does for you.

01

Care coordination

We talk to your specialists, your family doctor, and your other providers — so you don’t have to repeat your story four times a week.

02

Insurance & paperwork

OCF forms, WSIB submissions, extended-health appeals, requests for additional benefits. We handle it.

03

Plain-language plans

A written care plan in language that makes sense. Updated as things change. Shared with whoever you want.

  • Complex motor vehicle accident cases.
  • Chronic pain or long-term conditions involving multiple specialists.
  • Aging parents whose medical situation has gotten complicated.
  • Patients juggling more than two ongoing treatments at once.
  • Anyone navigating an insurance dispute or denial.
  • Out-of-town patients coordinating care across jurisdictions.

Common questions

About this program.

Who delivers the advocacy service?
A clinical-team coordinator — typically a physiotherapist or kinesiologist with experience in case management, supported by our medical leadership.
Is this covered by insurance?
Some components are billable through your physiotherapy or kinesiology coverage. Pure coordination time may be charged privately. We’ll be upfront about what costs what.
Do I need to be an existing Omega patient?
No, but most clients come to us through their care here. We’ll happily take on cases referred from other clinics.
How long does the service typically last?
It depends on the complexity. Short-term cases wrap in 8–12 weeks; chronic cases may need ongoing support.
Can you help with legal coordination?
We’ll work alongside your legal team and can refer you to MVA-specialized lawyers if needed. We don't provide legal advice.
